What is Remedial Massage?
Remedial Massage is a name in which many techniques come under the umbrella to form part of your treatment. These techniques may include Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Stretching and Exercise Advice.
I refer to Remedial Massage as Massage with a purpose. I am working to target areas that are causing pain, discomfort or restriction of movement.
When you arrive to my Campbelltown Clinic, you will be welcomed in and asked to complete a new client questionnaire to help me understand the purpose of your visit and the areas to be addressed.
We will sit down for a chat about your history and today's issue. I will ask questions and discuss what I believe needs to be worked on. I will gain your agreement before we begin.
I will leave the room while you undress to your level of comfort and lay on the table, covering yourself with a towel. I will commence the treatment, check your comfort and painful areas. We can chat or you can lay quietly, I will talk when I need to gauge your pain levels.
At the completion of our treatment, you'll get dressed and I will discuss any further treatment required, as well as tips for you to care for your body at home.
