Remedial Massage is a name in which many techniques come under the umbrella to form part of your treatment. These techniques may include Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Stretching and Exercise Advice.
We refer to Remedial Massage as Massage with a purpose. We are working to target areas that are causing pain, discomfort or restriction of movement.
Once you Book a Remedial Massage in our Dubbo Clinic, you will be asked to complete a new client questionnaire in our online portal. This helps us understand the purpose of your visit and the areas to be addressed.
At your appointment we will sit down for a chat about your history and today's issue. We will ask questions and discuss what we believe needs to be worked on. We will gain your agreement before we begin.
We will leave the room while you undress to your level of comfort and lay on the table, covering yourself with a towel. We will check your comfort and painful areas. We can chat or you can lay quietly, we will talk when we need to gauge your pain levels.
At the completion of our treatment, you'll get dressed and we will discuss any further treatment required, as well as tips for you to care for your body at home.

As a Qualified, Fully Insured and member of a Professional Massage Association, we are able to offer Health Fund Rebates from many health funds. Receipts are issued after full payment made

Family Friendly Clinic Space
We love babies and kids visiting us in our Dubbo Clinic. You are welcome to bring your child with you as childcare isn't always available when you are in pain.
Our rooms have plenty of space for a pram or playmat while you receive treatment. We also welcome breastfeeding and will be flexible in our treatment if the need arises.
Supportive Treatment Space
During your Remedial Massage, we work with you to find the safest, most comfortable positions to support your body. With specialised pillows and adjustable massage table, we aim to reduce stress and discomfort on your body considering your unique body shape and areas of pain.
Let us help you feel supported during your treatment.
There are many types of massage styles out there and suit people differently.
Remedial Massage is performed by a Diploma Qualified Remedial Massage Therapist that is trained in soft tissue techniques targeted to improve function in the body. We are required to remain current with First Aid, continuing education, be fully insured and operate within a Code of Conduct.
We are registered to be able to provide Health Fund Rebates with many of the major health funds.
We cannot tell you how much you will receive prior to your appointment. If you would like to confirm rebate amounts, please ensure you contact your health fund directly. You are also responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate health fund coverage and rebates available before your massage. If claim is not successful, you are liable for the costs of the treatment.
During Remedial Massage you may experience some discomfort but we do aim to keep it as comfortable as possible and work within your pain limits. We believe that your body needs to be able to relax and you be able to breathe to allow the tight areas we are working to ease. We aim to combine Remedial techniques with relaxation techniques to make it a more enjoyable experience.
You may experience some muscle aches following the massage similar to those you feel after a workout. Please know that this is not any damage and you can continue to move normally and gently as the discomfort settles.
We do ask that you undress to your level of comfort. We can perform some techniques through the towel but often it is better to apply the techniques to your skin. If you prefer to leave your bra on, we can accommodate that and just unclip as we work through the back.
At all times underwear is to be worn as part of our Code of Conduct. There are no circumstances where it is acceptable to be treated without underwear.
You have 3 options for Remedial Massage appointment duration:
* 30 minutes - this is ideal for one area to be targeted
* 60 minutes - this is our standard time and important to book this duration for your first massage so it allows enough time to assess and work through the areas of concern. In this time we can generally complete most of your body.
* 90 minutes - this is the extended time which allows us to work through your whole body or target multiple complex areas.
"Melissa has been my massage therapist for a few years now, and I wouldn't go elsewhere. Melissa is very professional and is dedicated not just to massage therapy, but women's health in general. I always feel so much better after a session, and I am very grateful for the advice and support Melissa provides. The blog updates are really informative, and I am so impressed with Melissa's interest and involvement in the local community and how she strives to improve the welfare of everyone around her, without thinking of financial gain, just the benefit for us all. I highly recommend Fearless Health."

"As always just entering the clinic I start to relax. It always smells so good and I'm greeted with a friendly face and warm smile. I trust Melissa to know what I need and deliver a wonderful and professional remedial massage every time. She always remembers how I was the previous visit, takes the time to catch up with me and see what is of particular concern for this visit. I really love that. I feel much more positive about my recovery. It is especially reassuring that my personal privacy during the visit is taken seriously. I have built up trust in Melissa when I have felt at my most vulnerable. Her infection control is immaculate. I would highly recommend Fearless Health."
